It ain't tubed, but my Wyred 4 Sound pre has made everything better. Go for balanced IC's if you can spare the coin.

My Cary CAD-200 trounced the Parasound. If you're patient on Audiogon, you can probably get it for around $1500, plenty leftover to get some balanced IC's if you haven't already.
