The stock 845 is most likely the Shuguang 845A. I found that the Shuguang 845b gives the sound a bit more body and warmness if that's what you're trying to archive.

I'm surprised yours are not hot. My pair of shuguang 845b are extremely hot. It maybe because each of your 845 are far apart. Glad that you are happy with them

Nope. I'm using Shuguang 845b and no bias issue at all.

Absolutely loving it. It's my new reference amp. Some people said using a preamp to pair with will improve the sound furthermore but I'm not ready to do that yet :)

I wonder how do these monoblocks compare to the Dialog 7 series ...

The usher dancer mini 2 should be another contender in 5k range too

It sounds full , dynamic, yet sweet and very good bass. I've been rolling amp quite a lot recently but I think I will keep this one for quite some times :)

There is always tubes rolling or switch to triode mode to change the sound to your liking :)

In that case, a pair of 2nd hand Rogue M-150 can be had for around $2500 :cheesygrin:
