I should have a pair of Peerless Denmark in an average pair of Model 5.
I'll pull them to be sure they're Denmark. I haven't pulled them in a while and not 100% sure which pair of 5s they're in.

Source material. I'm always looking for more quality source be it vinyl, cd, tape, whatever the format.
Some of my favorite music is on lousy source and I'm always trying to find better recordings.

I used Velcro on mine so I could move them around as needed when I set them up. It does make a difference as to location on them.

They make adhesives for these to stick to about any surface

The JJs are crap. Plain and simple. No sound quality at all. Toss them in a box as "emergency use only" and about anything you replace them with will be a vast improvement.
The 12AX7s are the magic...

IF the vacuum seal was broken the tube would be white coated in the glass. The bases can be loose from the glass and still be fine. I have a nice collection of old "Coke Bottles" and some are loose....

Just touching the old Mullards will quickly erase the ink on the tubes and nothing is left QUICK.
Did you test the 5AR4??? IF it tests strong there's no reason to replace it.
Check the tubes out...

Did I read on Eico groups you changed out some resistors? IF so double check the resistor values.
