I don't know what Polk's warranty is on those speakers but with only 25 watts going to them you could blow them up from distortion from too little wattage. Low wattage burns up more speakers than...

Is there a correct way to put polyfill in a subwoofer enclosure?
I put some in my sub box and just kind of layed it in the bottom of the box about 3" thick or so. Most references say to have about 1...
Kim,
Polk's literature says to mount the subs in the enclosure with T-nuts and machine screws for a nice look but all of the T-nuts I have seen are so big in diameter that they wouldn't fit in the...
Kim,
Thanks for the good info.
I carpeted my box I built for my Ford F-150 and after reading your post I see that I need to remove the carpet around my GNX-104's also and get a thicker gasket...
What is the difference in the SDA2A and SDA2B speakers?
I asked opinions of the SDA2B here a while back but it turns out my speakers are the SDA2A and not the B's. :o
Thanks
Mike
Scotty8,
If you put Polk 5.25" components in the front then I wouldn't worry about super high quality 5x7's for the rear as they will be more for fill than a main sound source. :)

That should have read, "US Acoustics" :)

Josh,
If you are open to other suggestions I would recommend that you also look into the UC Acoustics amps. They are good quality, have a 3-year warranty and are not expensive. If you are set on a...
Thanks Josh.
Actually my amp has a 50Hz and a 140Hz setting marked on it and no markings in between so I have to kind of guess where 100Hz is about at. I'll try lowering the lowpass to 80Hz as you...
Since someone was talking about the big SDA 1's in another post it got me to thinking about my Polk SDA-2B's and what the concensus is on them. I have had these speakers about 15 years or so now and...
Thanks Kim.
I appreciate the help.
Right now I am running the 2550's with the highpass crossover from the amp set at around 140Hz and the lowpass crossover going to the GNX-104's at around...
Thanks Kim.
Do you mean play them at a "normal volume" for 20 hours?
I probably have about 2 hours on them so far at everything from normal to about 23 on my Alpine deck which is rather loud.

Do the subwoofers have to be broken-in for 20 hours or more as the Polk literature says?
What is the best way to break-in my Polk GNX-104 subwoofers?
Should I take the sub box out of my truck and...
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and have been a long time Polk customer.
I just put a set of Polk EX-2550's in my 1998 F-150 and they sound great but I have heard some people say that I should...
You should be getting the 14 volts when the engine is running because of the alternator's output, and about 12 volts when the motor is off.
