I'm not going to hoard this antique, I'm installing the sucker! With the original new-in-box 1988 vintage mobile monitor speakers I found in the basement no less. Thank god for rubber surrounds!
Received in excellent condition. What a blast from the past!
Thanks!

The AC9s worked out great in my system. I first tried the AC-14 which fell on its face but the AC9 was comparable with some others I tried. They are certainly gear dependent because some found the...

Yep.
Thanks for the input! I do have a bunch of closed doors, will first try opening all of them.

I guess someone had to buy one...
Just kidding, congrats!
Just a FYI, When you record vinyl onto CD this way you retain most of the "vinyl sound". I've recorded tons of LPs onto my old sony CD recorder and you just can't beat it!
I forgot to mention one thing in my method of biasing. I start at the minimum bias -then I let warm up for about 10 minutes then bring up to 50%. After about half an hour I bring up to about 75%. ...
Hey, teacher, leave those kids alone...
When I change tubes I normally set the bias to its lowest voltage, then replace the tubes, then dial it up to what it should be. I'm not sure how long you can leave the bias really high on a tube...
That is just way too much power for any car. Anything over 800 is overkill.
