Damn near spent as much on tires and brakes for the truck recently as I did on the purchase of the Boss (2nd owner) when I was 18.

Did you know that Harrison Ford was a roadie for the Doors for a short spell? Here he is walking by Jim Morrison.

Well I'm a Door's fan and ground zero for them was the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and La Cienega. They had an office there (where they recorded LA Woman) and Jim Morrison lived on and off at a hotel...
Understood but that is what beer tastings are for. At my local craft beer store they have a tasting once a week and for 5 bucks you get to try 5 different craft beers. Some guys bring in their own...
No doubt but I'd probably buy the '67 Shelby stamp. One of the coolest looking cars ever.
But I've already got one... (sorry, had to brag since it's winter and can't take it out)81758

Hey, thanks for the comment. Yes the McCormick has seemingly unlimited clean power. Actually just fired it up getting ready for a listening session.
Forgot to mention I rec'd 2 Pliney the Elders...
You always want what you can't have... I can get Two Hearted at some grocery stores around here. I love some of the West Coast IPA's and my brother in Seattle can get Pliney the Elder easily up...
Lagunitas was one of my finds when I got into craft beers. Been enjoying Bells Hopslam, Founders Breakfast Stout, and Brew Kettle White Rajah lately. It's the time of year when I can find some of my...
I was lucky enough to enjoy the Founder's Breakfast Stout on tap and it was much better than the 4 pack I purchased later. It was one of the best single beers I have ever had out somewhere and I've...
I'm a hophead and here is a list of some of my favorites:
Bell's - Hopslam
Founders - Double Trouble
Lagunitas - Hop Stoopid
Southern Tier - 2XIPA
Troegs - Nugget Nectar
A few of these are...
I bought some of the Sumpin' Wild as well and really liked it. Have you ever tried the Hop Stoopid (real name) from Lagunitas ? It's probably my favorite IPA and comes in a 22 oz bottle. Just noticed...
Cynthia Lennon kinda looks like Lavernne (Penny Marshall I think).
I saw him when he did the Dark Side of the Moon tour and he absolutely nails it. You won't be disappointed.
Changing from a receiver used as a pre to a dedicated preamp was one of the most noticeable improvements I made to my system. I was using a Harmon Kardon 3490 which was no slouch but the Vincent tube...
I'll be listening to that as well along with Eva Cassidy tonight. The two best female vocalists out there imo
Eva Cassidy - Live at Blues Alley
Incredible vocalist and a fantastic live recording. Her voice can bring you to tears.
I recently picked up a pair of Vandersteen 3a sigs on Audiogon and am still playing around with placement. At first I was a little disappointed before I got them into proper position but now I am...
Now were talking (hoppy Ipa's)! When I left boring beers I started with Sam Adams, then went to Great Lake's (which I'm sure your familiar with). After going to a beer tasting every Friday evening...
When I switched to a dedicated pre I was really pleased with the sound. One of those upgrades that is immediately obvious. I went from a Harmon Kardon to a Vincent tube pre.
I'm looking forward to Liddell and Franklin as well. LIddell is probably past his prime but still has that punching power and I think Franklin got knocked out his last fight.
Thanks for the replies. I do own a tube pre and a pretty powerful amp so maybe it would work. I realize they are no match for the Polk's in the looks department but at this point I only care about...
Thinking about moving my A9's to fronts for movie duty (separate system) and replacing them with some Vandersteen 3a's for 2 channel. Anybody ever compared the two? Just contemplating it and was...
I've ordered some things from Audio Advisor in Michigan and was surprised how quickly it got here in Ohio - the next day or 2 days at most via Fed Ex. It was not free shipping however.
