The version of Lenny in that vid is amazing, even with the sweat dripping off his nose. Being from Austin I've seen Stevie more than a few times...and I could tell you some stories too.
I'd like to see how the "new" 6511 replacement currently sold by Polk Specs out against the old ones! Jesus Christ, the guy fixed the damn thing and he likes it...and should be damned proud he took...
I ended up using the gaskets on the replacements and left out the moretite and they fit fine. I did use all the screw holes though. I used Dynamat extreme on the woofer frames and also wrapped the...
Congrats for sticking with it. And to the naysayers....hows that crow tasting?
I admire your effort amigo! Hope it works out well when it is installed.
Take a couple short lengths of 2x4's and sandwich a couple of 1/2" OSB/plywood or whatever blocks in between the 2x4's with screws then slide the edge of the basket outer rim in there and gently bend...
Good call!
My thoughts exactly, get the basket straight first otherwise nothing is going to line up properly anyways.
Let the woofer upgrade begin! 74814
That is my thinking, nothing else is going to work till the basket is straight.
Might try screwing a couple pieces of 2x4 together with some 1/2" piece of wood shims in the center then slide the edge of the basket in there and gently bend it back into shape.
Some people are cool with car engine blocks made of aluminum and iron sleeved cylinders, I'l stick with a Chevy 350 4 bolt main and an iron block all day long. Call me old fashioned. To each his own.
 Trust me I did all the homework before I got mine.
Had the new replacements and sent them back, did not sound the same to me and one of the surrounds came unglued as well. A certain person at Polk agreed with me that the new ones were not up to snuff...
Lsi 15's arrived today in fine shape except for one pair of missing feet which Polk says they will send me if they have any (backorder). Got them hooked up to the HT system via the Yamaha RX-A820 and...
Have you checked the interconnect cable? You can use speaker wire as a substitute to check it out, just keep the polarity right at the connections. Just twist the wire ends good and place it in the...
Best value and features on the market! I think I was the first person out of the 1000's of posts to actually get one and post pics of it. You will love it.
YOu will find everything you ever wanted to know about this unit here! One USB can power a hard drive in the glove compartment too...and dont forget the sd card slot too. You can also control an...
I had the first 80PRS in Austin as I was on a waiting list. I'll make it really simple...buy it! Best SQ unit I've had since my Eclipse 8443.
Ordered my pair of Lsi15's for $849 yesterday!
I bought some mw6511's from them after the "new" Polk replacement Polk sent me was not up to snuff. A couple days ago a fellow polkie needed a mw6511 so I sold him the spare I bought from Good Vibes....
I Called the place I purchased my MW6511 drivers from and they were kind enough to send me a list of their current stock. Hope this helps some folks out! Not much SDA related stuff left but maybe...
