If you have a multimeter you can check to see if the voice coil is open or what the resistance/impedance is. If you get anywhere from 4 ohms to 8 ohms and they match chances are that they are okay....

I also have a billion 6512's... well not a billion, but a bunch of 6512's. I wish they were good for something. Damned if I know. :)
