Just wanted to poke my head in and say I'm glad these went to a fellow Polkie.
Now I have the opportunity to "reinvest" my money into some SDA-1C upgrades :)

Thanks for the verification.
DJ,
I also have the SL2500 tweeters (or SL3000 tweeters if you feel like going that route) available as well. AND the tweeter flaps...
Joe,
As I mentioned in my email to you earlier, your best bet is going to be to call Adcom, confirm you can strap two of the negative terminals on your amp with a piece of speaker wire and use...
Up for sale, we have:
Two (2) - SW123 12" Passive Radiators - Excellent (Out of Monitor 12s)
Two (2) - Sets of RTA 11TL Passive Radiators (4 total) - Excellent
One (1) - Pair of Crossovers...
These are still for sale @ $400 in Southern Irvine.
I have listed them on CL as well.
Thanks.
Ouch. Speakers are a total loss then I guess. I'll part out accordingly.
Will do.
If anyone is interested, these are back up for sale. Price is still $400
Dpowell, Leftcoast, mole have priority in that order for expressing interest before.
Pictures up here. (The spots on a...
Hello everyone.
Looking to sell a set of SDA SRS 2's I picked up about six months ago. I purchased them with the hopes of restoring them with new caps, mortite, RDOs... the works.
Long story...
Glad I wasn't the only one that caught this.
There is no way to individually test the passive radiator ("sub" as you call it), since it produces sound indirectly from air movement within the cabinet (caused by the midwoofers.)
If you...
Sounds like a plan. :D
Nice audio rack btw, I was looking through the system showcase and saw yours.
hmmmm, I must have missed some pretty cool pictures. Does anyone have the direct link? As nothing is showing up in the thread now.
Interesting. What then would be the benefit of going from the DC or CoC instead of the Tax Court?
Screw it. Not worth the time.
Merry Birthday!
Some of the guys here swear by Adcoms, notably the GFA-555/II. They seem to be a pretty decent budget amp that runs a common ground design.
Again, I'm a mega "bang for the buck-er" so I've never gotten around to replacing any of my SL2000 tweeters. I do prefer the SL3000 tweeters on the few speakers I have that use them.
Well, I...
Couple of things.
1) For "brightness," some people simply can't stand the older SL1000 / SL2000 polk tweeters. Apparently, somewhere around 12-13 kHz, there's a significant dB spike; This may...
109 hours a week? Or is that monthly? If weekly, hats of to you, that's incredible.
Either way, that does seem quite high. I'd consider having another CPA / licensed tax preparer take a look...
Yep, title pretty much says it all.
Have three SL2500 tweeters for sale.
Was hoping for $25 a pop, plus shipping and 3% Paypal.
Local pickup in 92630 of course welcome and encouraged. ...
Lol. I'll let everyone else find the amazing contradiction in these two paragraphs. When was the last time you used a road, sent your kids to public school, enjoyed not being shot at by one of your...
El oh El.
I was not aware of your life circumstances. You probably mentioned it earlier, and if so, I apologize. If you are indeed on fixed income, and reasonably foresee that staying the case for the...
Generally, considered a no no. But, in a pinch, a driver of the same nominal impedance will work.
Number of reasons, but primarily two. Gets the SOL ticking (which even with no tax liability, filing a "zero" return IS NEVER A BAD THING) and if for whatever reason, you need to negotiate with the...
