To be honest, I have not even tried the tweeters as yet, I have been pretty pre-occupied with the cabs and the mid drivers. How would I test the tweeters anyway? Is there a safe way of doing so?...

There are no 2.7 Ohm resistors in my crossovers, only a 2.5 Ohm 10% 5W, plus the 2.0 Ohm one which is in series I presume with the 12 uF capacitor.
