Thanks for the heads up Paul. At this time do not hold either mw8002 for me. I may change my mind but at the moment they are low on my priority list. Thanks again.

Thanks for the information James. I'm a big fan of IcePower and will admit I'm intrigued by your amps and all that power. I'm just not sure I can convince myself that I would be taking a significant...
Have you compared these SQ wise to Bel Canto amps? If I may ask what are you replacing them with?
cubdog
I use and enjoy both Pandora and Mog. If I could only choose one it would be MOG no question.

It's always nice being satisfied with ones system. Congratulations on finding a sound you're happy with.

I can't believe these have not sold. I always thought you Texans knew an audio bargain when you saw one.

I just sold my pair a couple of months ago. They do a lot of things right. One of my favorite if not best speakers I have owned.

I'm looking for one MW8002 woofer for my RT10 speakers. Let me know if you have a spare. Thanks.
cubdog
For the record if anyone needs this replacement driver, MW8002, they are no longer available. Sadly there is no suitable substitute either. Too bad the RT10s are nice sounding speakers.

I have a pair of RT10s I bought new. They have never been abused and for the past six years have served as computer speakers. I decided to set up a beadroom system and noticed a buzz coming from one...
So what is it? A system with the LSI7 or not? Either way I would determine how much power you need to drive your speakers. That may or may not eliminate the Lepai amps.

That's a tough assessment without hearing them together. They might sound great together and maybe not but not like the Emo is a piece of crap.

I bought mine for $225.00 if memory serves and sold them for close to $200 I think. Regardless it seems $200 is an average price for a pair in good to excellent condition.

The cd connection is in the back. I don't love that design feature although some do.

Bad impedance match plus my Bel Canto DAC 1.5 is both my DAC and pre so I don't want to remove it from the system.
cubdog
It's a bad match with my Bel Canto stuff. I think it is going to work great with my new Jaton amp. The Jaton is a LM3886 based modular amp. I just got it back from Jaton where they did some upgrades....
Sounds great, glad your enjoying it. I need to hook mine up to my new Jaton amp and see how they sound together.

Sorry your listening session got interrupted but that's pretty funny. I hope you like it when you get to spend a little quality time with it.

The only tube I changed was the 12ax7. I replaced the stock ones with Groove Tubes. Honestly I have never used this amp as my main pre amp. It's just kind of a backup that's fun to play with. All I...
You're right, she is very good but there are so many good ones. I didn't even mention Billie Holiday or Dinah Washington or Ellla Fitzgerald! Also Eva Cassidy is a must for any fan of female...
I like Rio and Paris equally but Montreaux does fall short for some reason. Probably the song selection.

Amazing sound coming from a relatively lightweight box. Certainly one of the best speakers I've ever heard.

Here are some suggestions. Some old, some contemporary.

Jane Monheit
Maria Taylor
Kathleen Edwards
Sasha Dobson
Julie London
Cassandra Wilson
Rebekka Bakken
Tina Dico
MOG has one track of the new album available. Very bluesy with some nice slide guitar work. I think the new album will be a bit different for her. I'm looking forward to it.

I have had one for a few years now. It's been very reliable and sounds very nice. I use it primarily with various class D amplifiers. I bought it when I was still running a turntable in my main...
