But no XLR's:surprised:These modules prefer being driven by a differential source ,if one happens to have one.

Is this a one off or does the seller have a stash of old Adcom chassis's he plans on retro fitting?
Interesting power supply. The Hypex modules sound quite good even with a basic bridge/filter cap supply. As well their small size and ease of implementaion make them well suited to multi amped active...
Hypex,I have several.Looks like a re-purposed Adcom chassis.http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?57733-Hypex-Class-D-build&highlight=hypex+belles+chassis
Looks like they are using this contour network to provide some hi frequency lift at the top end of the tweeters opeating range. The cap is shorting the resistor at higher frequencies so it will not be...
I hear ya.It definately part of the fun trying different gear and mod's etc.
Nice lookin speaks! You seem to go through gear like an NBA player through groupies.
No they are operating bipolar(push-push) so with the woofers in phase the outputs will combine, out of phase there would be complete cancellation in the bass range.
oops beat to punch.
Since the gain circuits are powered by both a + and - DC voltage the offset can be either polarity. You should find a copy of the service manual for your tech so he can also follow the proper...
70 mv is a bit on the highish side but not dangerously so.I'm not familiar with your amp but it may have a pot for offset adjustment. As for the -2.2 mv ,offset can be either +or -since the the power...
The new Marantz NR1504/1604 look good on paper.I'm seriously considering the 1504 in the near future.
Nice.
Ah yes,the ever entertaining CL35,he was certainly a technically challenged fellow. Some(if not all) of his ideas on audio where bizzare but IMO no less so than what some others have presented.
Was'nt HI the one that posted the brilliant faux robbery as an april fools joke?
Yes the red ones are tants. The bigger one could be 2.2 or 22uf.Is there a third digit after the 2 such as 225?
Absolutely. Many of the higher powered monoblocks(ie.Pass,Bryston)actually use balanced /bridged output stages but the two halves of the circuit have been closely gain matched so that common mode...
CertainlyTrue which is really what you end up with when bridging a pair of like amplifiers since the two ch. within each now function as one.
Qualitive questions aside by definition those amps bridged would become mono blocs.
They of course use them in their own speakers but also were main stays in Wilson Audio's speakers for a couple of decades.I believe they have now moved on to soft domes possibly sourced from Scan...
I meant when you get the active section up and running.A good low impedance lytic like Panasonics FCseries available from Digi Key are very economical.http://www.digikey.com/
Indeed there is,so now you just need an appropriate tranny and a little enclosure for it.If you like the sound I would seriously consider replacing all those lytic's and De-Ox-ing those connectors.
Back in the day Burhoes and EPI's were my first exposure to real "hi fi"speakers. Those tweets definately have a homemade look to them.I would argue that Focal are the best known manufacturer of...
Both pic's were of different KEF UNI Q coincidental drivers.
I see what appears to be regulators with heatsinks, but don't see any bridge or rectifier diodes.
There should be voltage regulators for the DC so even if the secondary voltage is a bit high the regulators will just need to drop a few more volts.
