Where are you located?
If you were in TX.... GLWTS.
Yeah, that's my dilemma. What I don't know is if the mods are worth fixing it.
So I took the Adcom to a repair shop and they quoted me $350 to repair the amp.
They said that that the output stage (?) needs to be replaced (order a new one from ADCOM). The quote also...
Congratulations, I recently got a set or RtiA9... They sound great.
I dont post often here, but I read and browse around on a daily basis... That Spags guy ticked me off, this community doesn't need disrespecting duche bags like him. Engineer my ass!
Yeah they aren't very stable on my carpet. Are the original spikes plastic like on the Rti10,s?
Polk charge $5/spike set which is a good price, however I'm tempted on spending a bit more on some...
Huh, interesting. I will try that. A friend told me to try milk paint.
The seller didn't have spikes, and couldn't remember if they came with spikes. Also, I've never seen pictures of this speaker line with spikes.
I'm really liking these speakers. Very noticeable improvement from the Rti10's.
Now I need spikes to decouple (sp?) them from the floor.
Does anyone here knows of a reputable repair shop in Houston? I have an Adcom GFA-555 that needs service.
These SDAs have been posted for several weeks, but they may be priced a bit high. I'm not knowledgeable enough, but to which I could have a pair.
Does anyone know the thread size for RtiA9's?
Well, the seller ended up accepting my offer. He called me like 30 min after leaving my house, turned around and delivered the speakers. At 1st i was a bit skeptical, but once I cleaned the speakers...
He said that there are two other guys that will look at them, but will let me know if he takes my offer.
Well, the seller brought the speakers... They were not mint :frown: they had a few scuff marks two small dings one on a button edge and another on a side front edge. The drivers were covered in...
I would Love to listen to some SDA.... I read so much here about how awesome they are.
How do you like the A9s, how is the sound with the emotivas?
Why did you sell them?
I'm supposed to look at them tomorrow. He seems open to the $600, but apparently someone else is offering the same, so I may have to put in another $25-$50.
Wish me luck.
Well, actually he is asking $700. I Will see if its negotiable, he says that they are mint but 3 years old.
I have an Adcom GFA-555. I have to repair a 2nd GFA 555 to bi-amp them.
Any other opinions?
I may have an opportunity to buy a pair of Rti A9 for $800. Is that a fair price? I would like to upgrade my Rti 10s in my home theater.
Congratulations, it will be my turn in a couple of days...
My first baby (boy). I'm excited.
By 1st reflection point, do you mean on the walls next to the speakers?
