Yeah, that's my dilemma. What I don't know is if the mods are worth fixing it.

So I took the Adcom to a repair shop and they quoted me $350 to repair the amp.

They said that that the output stage (?) needs to be replaced (order a new one from ADCOM). The quote also...

Yeah they aren't very stable on my carpet. Are the original spikes plastic like on the Rti10,s?
Polk charge $5/spike set which is a good price, however I'm tempted on spending a bit more on some...

The seller didn't have spikes, and couldn't remember if they came with spikes. Also, I've never seen pictures of this speaker line with spikes.

I'm really liking these speakers. Very noticeable improvement from the Rti10's.

These SDAs have been posted for several weeks, but they may be priced a bit high. I'm not knowledgeable enough, but to which I could have a pair.

Well, the seller ended up accepting my offer. He called me like 30 min after leaving my house, turned around and delivered the speakers. At 1st i was a bit skeptical, but once I cleaned the speakers...

He said that there are two other guys that will look at them, but will let me know if he takes my offer.

Well, the seller brought the speakers... They were not mint :frown: they had a few scuff marks two small dings one on a button edge and another on a side front edge. The drivers were covered in...

I would Love to listen to some SDA.... I read so much here about how awesome they are.

Well, actually he is asking $700. I Will see if its negotiable, he says that they are mint but 3 years old.

I have an Adcom GFA-555. I have to repair a 2nd GFA 555 to bi-amp them.
