Are your jumpers/speaker wires tight?
I don't think the DSW550 would be that great of a sub for your setup. I went from a DSW 500 pro to a sealed servo controlled Rythmik F15HP and there's no comparison. A good sealed sub will generally...
We've had Monoprice HDMI cables throughout our household for over 6 years and we haven't had any issue with them yet.
Can't see why your system wouldn't benefit from a good subwoofer. If you're content with what you have then don't worry about it.
Do you get static under the direct sound output mode?
Have you tried checking the box to "Present 24-bit data in a 32-bit package" under options/audio/output mode settings.
Have you tried...
Nevermind

Get one or two of these depending on your room and you will be happy

tight musical bass
My flabby LSi9s can't keep up, but maybe that isn't saying...
Sharing your budget could help filter the possibilities.
Also consider Rythmik when you decide to look for a subwoofer.
Enjoy your new speakers!
Do you have a subwoofer? I assume the 703s with a, properly set up, sealed subwoofer would probably outdo the 705s on the lower end.
If you're plagued by the "what ifs" and know you won't get over...
It was more of the end result of the train fight that I didn't care too much for. I think someone should have died after being shot with a rifle, falling off of a train into a river (200ft-300ft?),...
The buzzing from my TV is hardly noticeable with a low volume setting when playing normal content. I may end up putting acoustic damping material behind the TV in the future for that extra peace of...
Ok, I switched out my Tripp Lite AVBAR 8 with two other surge protectors that I have and no mechanical vibrations could be felt on the surge protectors. Kind of odd. One is an ISOBAR and the other is...
The TV isn't connected to any other device and the buzzing continues when plugged directly into the outlet. I had it hooked up on a different circuit earlier and it still buzzed when displaying a...
I just picked up a Panasonic P55UT50 plasma tv and I've read that buzzing from plasma TV which varies depending on screen brightness/color is normal, but I noticed when the buzz gets louder (pure...
If you're happy with how the pb12 sounds with the LSi9s you should add another. If you want to try something else and have the coin, I would say check out a servo sub from Rythmik. I'm running my...
Is this method better than spiking your subwoofer? Wouldn't you lose some bass energy/accuracy from the lack of rigidity in the base?
I went with soniccaps and I've been happy, but I haven't tried anything else in their place. They fit onto the passdiy board nicely after a little lead tweaking.
I thought the film was ok, but I did not find the beginning train scene to be believable.
If it's non-critical listening why not get a USB sound card as suggested above? This sound card has an optical out, but draws power from USB. Not sure if that should be a concern since USB was...
Consider Rythmik Audio as well as the others mentioned above. I went with the sealed F15HP and it produces very tightly controlled bass (adjustable damping) and much more output that I need for my...
The Parasound 2100 has a bypass input that would allow you to use your receiver for HT duties.
Get both and send me the one you like less. Definitely the mahogany to match your dark furniture.
So you didn't notice any difference when you were sitting off center toward the port side vs tweeter side of the vertical lsi9?
