Correction to post#23. I run them wide open (no ports blocked) which is the 20HZ tuning. Room comp is off.
I prefer co-location for the 6db increase.
Mine have the 750w bash (analog) amps. Tested with a RS analog SPL meter. I run them all wide open-20 db.
The room is flooded with bass. Phasing is correct as is polarity.
The room is so...
4 ultras = solid/tight not boom bass. Led Zep houses of the holy never sounded better.
Well...... all I can say is the system is overkill to the 10th degree. These 4 tubes thump my ears, pound my chest without any effort at all. Not cheap but I love it. Thanks SVS.
24ft x 16ft with doorways and a stairway to other rooms. They have no trouble filling the area "effortless". I got 4 so none would ever be stressed.
The room has SO MUCH bass and I'm not pushing them at all!
Thanks.
No that part is filled with furniture.
Thanks, I don't think I'll be selling any.
More than I need but all that I want
CD73 strictly redbook and sounds great.
Nice!
Check it out !!!
Would one sub out (rca) have enough signal strength to run 4 subwoofers?
I don't care much for Jolida int. amps. Their seperates are much better.
My two pc ultra 13's (purchased in 2010) still impress me as much as they did the first day .
I've owned a pair of them for some time now and would say my subwoofer needs are satisfied.
They reviewed the svs ultra 13 and gave it their extreme bass certification.
My tube preamp goes into stand-by when powered down. I can also completely shut it off by the toggle switch on the back panel. When left in "stand-by" I do not see any tube glow or feel any heat at...
Mantis has some good advice. I use (4) subwoofers of two different brands and types and it works well for me.
My 3 ported svs ultra13 is as follows: all open =20 hz 1,2, plugged =15hz,10hz. All plugged (sealed) is less than 10hz. Sealed gives the lowest frequency and lowest output.
I noticed a layer of warmth moving to a tube pre, I now want to improve that using an appropriate amp-tube combination for the mid-treble portion of my speakers.
I cant afford $$$$ speakers to...
