I got in on this deal, too! I'm now using RTi150s for fronts and surrounds. Love that big sound! :D

Can anyone recommend a good crossover for use with RTi150s in a bi-amp configuration?

DangerBoy, it sounds as though you live in Eastern Washington. Pullman, Spokane? I thought perhaps you were in Western Washington, in which case i'd recommend a trip to Portland so that you can...
BS1 - I'll send you a roll of quarters! :D

Well, in deference to dear old Sid, i had been pondering that configuration before i even found Club Polk. When i heard that someone else had tried something similar, my ears perked up. I had...
I was wondering the same thing. The RTi150 is truly a thing of beauty (IMHO), but it does take some juice run them safely.
BTW, Tour2ma, thanks for not laughing at my speaker set-up! :D
Rgds,...
Cool. I'm using a stacked arrangement and as crazy as it may seem, it sounds wonderful to me. I'm bi-amping the RTi150s.

Dad-of-Sydney - your downstairs configuration:
"Downstairs
Front Polk RTi150, RTi38"
Does that mean you're using both - an RTi-38 sitting on top of an RTi150? If so, how are you wiring and...
bs1, you're gonna have to keep patronizing that store to help ensure that she'll still have a job there. :D

Mike - how would an ordinary, average guy go about acquiring a Quad CD of Floyd's WYWH?

I own a pair of RTi150s. I auditioned them alongside RTi100s and RTi70s and i have to agree with Dave Shepard's analysis of the three.
I found that with adequate amplification, the RTi150s were...
Did i read those stats correctly on the booking sheet? 5' 11" and he weighs 120 pounds? Whoa...
Damn. :D That's the funniest thing i've read in a month! Well done, Russ!

I'm fascinated by this thread but a little confused. I'm using a Rotel RSX-1055 receiver and a separate five-channel amp. Are you saying it's possible to use the both Left/Right...
I second Emlyn's recommendation for the Rotel RMB-1075. I'm using one to drive a pair of RTi150s in a bi-amp configuration.

Definitely. Besides, i don't think those in-store tube testers did much other than check the continuity of the filaments. Gee..listen to me. I sound like i know what i'm talking about. ;)
Rgds,...
Alas for poor Henry
We'll not see him no more
For what he thought was H20
Was H2SO4!

The RMB-1075 is a fine amplifier. I'm using one myself. If you're keeping it below $700, i'd recommend either the RTi8 @ $700 or the RTi70 @ $600. Those are Crutchfield's prices.

That's a mindblower. What's next? Will we see the return of tube testing machines in grocery stores? :D
(Anybody else on this forum old enough to remember those?)

At $160 for a set of eight, i'd rather do an origami fold of a $20 bill and use that to isolate my speaker cables. :D

I'm really undecided about it, although there are two issues that i got wrong (or was unclear about) in my original posting:
First, my amplifier is rated at (a conservative) 120 W per channel...
I think i've got that covered. I'm driving my RTi150s with a Rotel RMB-1075 which is (conservatively) rated at 100 W per channel. Prior to adding that amp i was driving them directly from my...
I've been looking over older threads and came across a recent discussion of stacking RTi38s on top of larger speakers. Did anyone ever try an RTi150/RTi38 stacked combo? It sounds...interesting. ...
Hobby, you say? I think i crossed over to "obsession" a few months ago. :o

I'm curious. Please tell us why you would not buy them.
