Focal Micro Utopia BE's.
I have a 2200ii. It is a beast. I haven't heard the 2250, but I agree with pit's assessment of the current delivering capabilities.
My 2200ii sounds awesome. It has competed very admirably...
man, I'm really interested in this piece... but it won't work in my current setup because my amp is balanced only... BUT, I may be getting new amps soon that will have single-ended inputs... hmm...
2 channel: 250wpc into 8ohms, 450wpc into my 4ohm Maggies.
i gave you my real world experience. You are an idiot.
When I said "us", I meant anyone who could possibly be reading your posts... both forum members and non-members. Let me rephrase it a little more clearly:
You are making the internet worse. Type...
My response was not intended to be offensive, so I'm sorry if it offended you. I was not trying to upset you. My insinuation was based on your redundancy of language and overuse of caps, and I...
dude... you gotta chill with the caps. It sounds like you've already made up your mind, and that you're likely to ignore the "finger-waggers" and will only accept input from people whose conclusions...
Nice piece for sure. What are you moving to, Steve??
lol yes, this. Look for some Monitor 5's, or even 7's depending on how much space you have.

The 706 an excellent center channel speaker. Another awesome one is the Usher Audio 616-BE DMD. The Usher is grittier whereas the LSiM is smoother... I think it would come down to personal preference...
Personally, I think the best match to your fronts is a 3rd LSi9.
It is discontinued, but you should be able to find a used one.
Why not an original LSi-C?
I would have offered 1500 no problem if he hadn't responded in a way that I interpreted to be a$$hatish.
alright i sent the dude a sincere apology... but i still think he was being an a$$.
hmm looks like I may have been out of line...
Of course he can can charge whatever he wants and of course he can decline my offer... that's not my point here. Literally, my entire argument hinges...
It doesn't. This line does: "Perhaps a ***** amp would be more suited to your pricing constraints." Granted I am assuming some sarcasm/condescension in his tone, but I think it's a safe assumption.
damn, shoulda been a poll!
Tell me if I was funny or out of line in this scenario:
I was watching an amp on ebay. The opening price was set too high, so it got no bids and didn't sell. The seller was local to me, so I...
Nice, man. Obviously the stereo imaging is gone, but I'm sure it sounds cool. In a different house than I'm in now I used to do some multi-channel stereo stuff where I'd have something like 3 or 4...
Here are a couple other low-cost high-fun suggestions:
- Revisit speaker positioning (try some extremes... at the very least it'll be fun)
- Get some new music
Depends how much you're willing to change. I myself am in the middle of a net/net zero additional cash "upgrade". My plan is to replace my USB converter, DAC, and tube preamp with an all-in-one unit...
Agreed. There are also a lot of beginners in the hobby who need advice, so look around and chime in where you can offer help.
