Thanks Zingo! Unfortunately, limited space is one of the main reasons I'm selling the 1Cs (i.e., big speakers and small house don't mix well). No more big speakers for a while. :sad:

I have a very nice pair of restored pin blade SD1Cs for sale in Seattle (local pickup only). These are cosmetically restored, not upgraded (no new capacitors, resistors, etc). They do have new...

Those crossovers are very easy to work on and upgrade if desired. Schematic is a sticky in the vintage forum. Pull the crossover and take a look. Feel free to post some photos.

I forgot to mention that I needed to add a couple of 1" stand-offs to the pcb/binding post cup so that the backside of the binding posts could clear that large cap. No big deal.

Hmmm, did the spikes tighten up the bass a bit? I find that they are little bass heavy for me as is.
