That article is 3 years old...but still nice to see. Those that were fortunate to attend the 2008 Polkfest in Baltimore were able to experience everything shown in the photos first hand.

PF 2008 was a highlight that year for me personally.
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

This is the RTA12 with the grill covers removed from the speaker on the left. This particular pair features cabinets handmade out of real rosewood by George Klopfer.
I want those! Those stands are sweet too.

Reading this post just made me appreciate what I have a tad more. Those LSis lined up look freaking awesome, and the cut-away of the RTi12 is very cool. Wish I could actually go on the tour myself. Excellent post.

Yes. They were being tested against one of Polk's "HTIAB" systems.

For those that were there and would like to reminisce...or for those that would like to see what they missed...here is PF 08 in pictures:

And here is the thread with even MORE PICTURES and folks comments.

Either way, well worth the time to take a look as they are way better than the article in the OP :D.

WOW just Wow, Steve. I went through every picture and every post in Ray's thread with the biggest sh*t eatin grin. What a great time that was and all the comraderie there was just awesome. I can't wait till Louie's gig!

One of my favorite pictures is the one with Russ and Mark and Mark giving the salute! I'm gonna try to capture that, blow it up poster size and place it above my computer screen, it will make me smile when things get hairy!:D

Guys if you've never experienced Polkfest, I'm here to tell you that it can be a truely spiritual experience!:) It's amazing how well we get along when together!!!:)

Mini-meets are really great but Polkfest is just an amazing experience.
