    You can pay a sh!tload of money for spikes; or you can build your own for under $5 if you have access to a bench grinder and a hacksaw. 1/4" SAE Grade 8 bolts with the heads cut off and the bottom ground to a point, threaded into common hardware-store "T-nuts" will do nicely. Lock each bolt with a jam nut. Six bolts, six T-nuts, six jam nuts will do a pair of speakers.

    Spike size isn't real important because speakers aren't that heavy. Even SRS-1s are less than 200 lbs each.
