    Default speaker recommendations

I currently have a Denon AVR 1506 receiver and a Polk RM6750 powered sub.

I have been eyeballing the Tsi 300 or 400 series speakers to accompany the above componets.

Are either of these good choices?

Suggestions and guidance are certainly appreciated.

    Rhett

P.s. I am gearing this more towards music then home theater if that helps.

Welcome to club Polk. It would be helpful if you could give us more info. What size room? Floor standers OK? Budget?

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Room size 17'x21' Hardwood floors if that matters.

Floor standers? I'm assuming you mean full size speakers and not book shelf.Yes that is fine.

    Budget.....lets say below $600.00 a pair.

    Thanks,

Welcome to Club Polk. To start out with, the TSi 300 or 400 series are a good choice for music and your receiver would power them nicely. You might also consider the older Polk Monitor 50 or Monitor 60 speakers which are the respective predecessors to the TSi300 and 400 speakers. They are available new at Newegg for some pretty good clearance prices. Both are good musical speakers.
The larger Monitor 70's are a hot item right now too and are nice for a larger room.

It comes down to looks vs cost since the respective speakers are very close in sound performance.
The TSi speakers are more upscale/elegant looking.

    Thanks Xcapri79.
Thats a great price on the Monitor 70's and I'm this close to ordering. But with my receiver rated at only 75 watts is that gonna be enough for those speakers?

The receiver will allow them to sound ok, but not to their max. potential.
With the Monitor 70's you will be wanting to upgrade your receiver.

That is why I would say that a set of Monitor 60's or Monitor 50's up front are a good match with your receiver.
Your subwoofer will cover the low end.
