Will they let you demo the Sunfire in home? I have 4 different amps and none of them are night and day difference.

I would just blind A/B them with someone switching the amps for you. Use some material that you are familiar with and test to hear if you can pick up a difference.

If you want to make that move, I feel a more cost effective way to go would be to get a Sunfire Cinema Grand Signature Series 400~7. These can be had in the 1600.00 range, are better looking than the current version and with the coin you save, you can upgrade something else.

Most of the Sunfire crowd are staying away from the new Sunfire gear; all manufacturing was moved to China after Elan bought them out & closed down the plant in Snohomish. A similar thing happened with Carver in the 90s when the BoD voted Bob out while he was on sabbatical & then proceeded to run the company into the ground.

I agree with John about getting one of the older Signature amps; they are a little hard to come by, but will probably outlast the new models...

It seems like they believe in their product. I would 100% take them up on it. They obviously believe that you are going to like the product.

Make sure that you level match the amp to what you currently have if you decide to demo in home.

I knew the recievers are now made in China...I did not know that the factory was totally closed.

    Just to increase your options

try here...This guy is the only authorized internet dealer for Sunfire...I bought mine there...You get the warranty and tech support. Buzz is an old friend of BC/ He seemed like a good fellow...but than again I overbid and paid too much for virgin NOS in my frustration at being continually outbid on used Sunfire on ebay... You might save a few ducketts whichever way you go.

Well, there are about 6 employees operating out of the factory, one being Bob Carver, but for all intents & purposes, it's closed.

Don't know where NAD are made.... (Nads are made in yer scrote~)

The NAD's are China as well... The Sunfire plant is now only used for repairs.
