    Default Speaker cables for subwoofer

This is NOT intended to be a "Do cables matter?" debate. If you think they DON'T, please, move on. :) TIA

Ok, I've got a pair of LSi7s and a MicroPRO 2000 sub. I intend to purchase some nice speaker cables, but I'll probably have to run 15 or 20 feet from my integrated. I've been looking at some Kimbers from usedcable.com, as well as some AQs and Signals. However, these wires are not what I'm concerned about.

I intend to run the above wires to one set of terminals on the LSi7, fashion some jumpers to run between the terminals, and then run more speaker wire from the other set of terminals to the speaker level inputs on the sub. These are the speaker cables I'd like an opinion on.

Should I match them to the speaker cables that will run from my amp to my LSis, or, since they only feed a subwoofer, does it really matter as much? Or, is there something different I should be looking for in these speaker cables?

Oh yeah, the MP2000 manual states, "See your Polk Audio dealer for wire recommendations."
What do you think a dealer would tell me? Whatever they happen to sell, or is there some real advice to be had out there?

So, no one's very passionate about speaker wires running to a sub, huh? ;)

When I talked to a pol rep he told me that monoprice wires would be just fine...
I mean, I don't know it's really only carrying the bass signal...nothing else...I wouldn't assume that the sub cable would matter a lot you know?

It's basically like other interconnects, you choose connectors according to your system. You have to keep in mind that your sub requires good quality RCA 75 ohms coaxial type cable, double shielded is not a bad thing but the most important factor is a quality connector.

Except I'm not using an IC. I'm planning to run speaker wire to the speaker level input.

IMO it's not critical in this aplication so just some regular 18 AWG should do the trick. The current demands are very low because you will be driving a very high impedance and not a low impedance like a driver.

Ok, so "good" wires from amp to LSi7s, and "regular" wires from LSi7s to MicroPRO sub. Polk recommends "two-conductor 16 gauge or thicker speaker wires" for this application, so I'll probably just go with that. Has anybody tried swapping cables to subwoofer speaker level inputs? Any audible differences?
