Question APC Power centers with a 20 AMP circuit

I just read one of the manuals for a APC C10 and it said maximum input is 15 AMP.

Anybody running APC's on a 20 AMP circuit?

In my mind it would be fine, but I want to make sure.

APS H15 manual states the same thing. Anybody run their APC on a 20 AMP circuit?

You can plug a 15 amp power center into a 20 amp receptacle/circuit with no problem. It's kind of like you can plug a table lamp into a 20 amp circuit, but it's kind of overkill. The power center is rated for 15 amps output, therefore the maximum input it should have is 15 amps, so if you try to pull more than that through it, it would pop the circuit breaker.

Thanks helipilotdoug. That is what I was thinking. Guess APC an others just have to put that in their manuals.
An APC H15 is on it's way to me for my H/T rig and still looking for a power conditioner for my 2-channel set-up. Trying to decide between PS Audio and APC and that is when this question arose.

I tried both in my rig. My standard power conditioner is an APC H15 in the 2 channel rig. Very, very nice piece. I also used a PS Audio Duet for about a month. I heard no difference between the two. If you can get a good deal on the PS Audio that would be my choice, simply based on cost. I missed a deal on an excellent condition used Duet for $100. Other wise the APC H15 is just the same to my ears, and I'm pretty damn picky and my rig does reveal even the slightest changes.

    YMMV

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. I just got a Furman PL Pro DMC, (20 amp) which will be powering the main amp. Plus I have 2 other Furman power ports for the rest of the equipment.

My APC H15 arrived this morning. The looks and feel scream quality.
Tonight, I'll get it hooked up and watch the game to see if I can see any picture improvements. I got another APC on the way for the 2-channel rig, but it is a cheaper model strip type that will hopefully hold me over until I can upgrade in the future.

does Furman PL Pro DMC require home 20amp circuit for power it up? I just bought a Adcom gfa 7805 through ebay, and adcom recommend 20amp dedicated circuit to feed the amp. I don't have that 20amp dedi circuit, so just wondering that Furman PL Pro DMC might be the solution. Please help
