Default SDA SRS passive driver 15" value

I have a pair of 15" passive drivers that will work in all the big SDA SRS models but I am on the fence about selling them for a couple of reasons first off I dont know what their value is, secondy if I do sell them should I offer them as a pair or should I sell them to two seperate inviduals so two people can have a spare? If I can get some ideas on value I may put them up for sale in the FM area.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Set up an auction and go with the highest bid.

I'm interested in purchasing them, as well. Good luck and let us know what the options are.

No problem, not trying to sell them yet :) How many different types were there? These have a metal weight in the center but obviously not what your looking for.

Well 100 views and no ideas..... I guess it's off to the FM with these then. From what little I know about the 15" passive radiators they are all identical in all 3 models except for the use of slugs or other weights.

They all are marked SW150 and can be used in all the big SDA's. What sound difference you would achieve with or without the weights im not sure. I know some people say the bass is deeper on the original SDA SRS but I dont know if the use of these metal slugs would have anything to do with it or not.

Yes it appears you are correct here are pics of the three different versions of the SW150. I contacted the two foremost SDA gurus Jesse/F1nut and Ray/DarqueKnight about any audible differences in sound between the three versions and this is what I was told.

    DarqueKnight/ Ray
    Hi

    The SW150 was used in

    1. The 1986 blade/blade version of the SRS II.
    2. The original SRS.
    3. The SRS 1.2.
    4. The SRS 1.2TL.

Your SW150's look just like the ones in my SRS's, but different from the ones in my 1.2TL's. You can see a pic of my 1.2TL PR here:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74306

I think that as time progressed, polk used some different materials and a different metal counter weight for the SW150, but the acoustic performance properties remained the same. Otherwise, I think they would have used a different part number as they did with the SL2000/RD0194 and SL3000/RD0198 tweeters.

    F1nut/ Jesse-
Probably just refinements in the PR build, but that's a guess. Considering that they all share the same part number, I've got to think they sound the same in the end. On the other hand, the SRS's definitely produce what seems to be more bass, although it could just be the tuning and has nothing to do with the PR.

My SRS1.2s (only a few SN's apart) have a mix. One is like the PR on the left and the other is like the one on the right. I have swapped them and can't tell any difference.
