Default TSi400 Floorstanding above the ground

Hi all, I currently have a pair of TSi400 speakers in my current set-up, but planning on making an entertainment cabinet to place the TV. It's going to be a wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor one, so it wouldn't be nice to have that then place the speakers in front, on the floor. If I place it on the cabinet, about 2 ft off the ground, would it severely alter the quality of the sound? Currently, the top driver is at ear level, and if I place them on top of the cabinet, the lower driver should be at ear level and the other two above ear level.

Also, I have 2 pairs of TSi100 for surround speakers. They used to be around 5 ft off the ground, around 2 ft above ear level. I want to set them by the ceiling, 9 ft above the ground, 6 ft above ear level. Would that also be problematic?

    Thanks in advance!

Floor standing speakers are just that, floor standing.

The short answer to your initial question is yes.

As Drenis stated, yes, you will affect the sound quality with anything you do in regards to placement. You'll have to find the happy medium and decide what works best for you.

Well, construction starts next week so I'd need to decide soon.

Also, I've been looking at some HT galleries and found this:

They placed the speakers on some kind of platform. Is there any downside to place them on a wooden platform so I can make some kind of tram so they I can pull the speakers when used and hidden inside when not.

Would vibrations cause too much rumbling?
