To any nascar naysayers out there, stand here in my shoes for a second while 40 cars go by at 200 mph just inches apart. Its hard to wipe the ear to ear smile off your face :) this wasn't time lapsed or altered in anyway. Oh, and I had to shoot this with my eyes closed or it would have sucked the contact lenses right out of my eyeballs. This was the Michigan race a few weeks ago. turn up the volume!

Anyone could bravely do that when you have a wall between you and the cars on the track. Try it again with nothing between you and the cars, maybe standing on the track in the middle of the start/finish line... or are you CHICKEN???;);):p:D

thanks Joe. this was actually my 2nd attempt of getting this on film. first one was an epic fail. by having to close my eyes or lose my contacts, I forgot to take the lense cover off the camera :o

I don't think any NASCAR naysaysers would say that it isn't FAST. Just that, compared to pretty much every single other form of racing out there, it's boring.

I've been to a nascar race and enjoyed it at TX MS. But I cant watch it on the tube...my brother can and it drives me insane...haha.
