Default Surrounds for Polk Monitor 60's

what would be good/great or o.k choices for rear surround speakers? I have the Onkyo tx-sr608 receiver & the CS2 Polk center speaker with the PSW505 subwoofer...& the Monitor 60's in the front...I need inexpensive surrounds...I listen to music & watch movies about 50/50....

    Thanks,.

Monitor 30 or 40's will be fine. Not sure what color your other speakers are, but Newegg has the M30's in cherry for $99.

I got some Monitor 10's from the Polk ebay store at a great price. They compliment my Polk Monitor 60-II's very well as my surround speakers. I was really surprised how well they perform as surrounds.........Just my .02

I wanted something small in size if possible....How important is size in picking surrounds?Would the OWM5s or RM8's be a waste of money or just o.k.? would other brands be ok. to mix with the Polks speakers I have?

Rear surrounds dont need to match the brand or size of your front three. As such I would recommend these speakers from partsexpress. They should fit into just about anyones budget quite nicely :). They got some really good reviews on CNET (here)

I liked the Monitor 40's as surrounds more so than the 30's.
