Turntable Help and advice needed !

My question is about a couple of turntables that were given to me and need the ( needles) thats what we used to call them . Witch one of these would you fix up (they both seem ok but i cant be sure till i get the parts) ok so here they are 1st is a Mitsubishi DP-EC 20 and the other one is a Revox B790 with the direct drive unit. Anybody here ever replaced the cartridge or needle in these and witch turntable would be better to keep around.They both seem to work except for the missing or broken needles. Thanks in advance.

The Mitsu will take a standard 1/2 " cartridge but you may only need a stylus. What brand of cart is on that one. As for the Revox, many consider it one of the better linear tracking turntables from days gone by. From what I understand it works best with high compliance cartridge. It too may have a decent cartridge and may just need a new stylus. I have an old Technics linear tracking table that I use only for rippng vinyl to digital and the sound is fantastic. You definatley have an interesting piece of vintage gear there with the Revox. There is a website called The Vinyl Engine that has a great data base of old turntables. Have a look, there may be a manual available for either or both of your units. Welcome to Club Polk and enjoy the vinyl.
