I would give him $200 for it and maybe save the poor thing, or just have it for parts..

I wonder if he drilled holes in his sealed speaker cabinets for deeper bass??

I've seen some stupid stuff in my days, but that tops them all right there. Hope nobody is gullible enough to buy it at that price.

    I'm doing this to mine!!!!
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

Somebody told him to cut the rubber/foam surrounds on all of his woofers and it'd improve speaker clarity. They're worth a lot more now. To a junk yard.

I saw this earlier...I would consider buying it for a "deal"...as long as it is functional. What do you all would think would be a reasonable offer? 500.00, or less? Again, I am a sucker for a bargain...:o

I'd offer less than $500 just because it's so revolting. Start at $400 and see if he even replies.

Start at $300 if you get it dirt cheap and you take it apart and send me the shell I will powder coat it for you dirt cheap. The only thing is you would lose the silk screening but onthe end it would look a thousand times better.

please don't, if you do let me know, I'll drive down tonight so I can save your gear from you..:p

I sent him an email asking if he's also put tape on the inside (I pray he hasn't) and if he's tried to remove any of it to see how bad it would be if done.

I'm tempted to buy it to try and save it...wonder if its a blue board unit, so much tape I probably couldn't even tell...hell he probably taped the board, you know because it sounds better.

Here's the email I got back about the tape...

    "Hello,

I did not try to peel this tape off.
However, previous owner told me that this tape can be removed without any trace.

Tapes are in and out side."

Not for me but I have the means of tearing it down and getting it repainted for the cost of nothing.. With that said the price would have to be fair and $650 is not..
