Shack, I agree 100%! I love that album, it is probably my overall favorite Joan Osborne CD...

"Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music." ~ Ronald Reagan
"I love songs about horses, railroads, land, Judgment Day, family, hard times, whiskey, courtship, marriage, adultery, separation, murder, war, prison, rambling, damnation, home, salvation, death, pride, humor, piety, rebellion, patriotism, larceny, determination, tragedy, rowdiness, heartbreak and love. And Mother. And God." ~ Johnny Cash
"Relish" is my favorite Joan Osborne album...and I seriously doubt that will change. Everything just worked on that one. It has been one of my "demo" albums for many years and I never tire of listening to it. "Pretty Little Strangers" may be the best of her last few years...however...her work with the Funk Brothers was excellent.

A couple of weeks ago I went used music shopping in Milwaukee WI with Brock, Blake and Rob. Rob showed me a 1981 limited edition Roxy Music First Seven LP box set he was about to pass on. My first impulse was to run for the cash register, but you don't do that to friends who aren't thinking clearly. It was a used box set and the store had shrink wrapped it. I said I'll take it if you don't want it but at least ask them to open it and check out the condition of the LP's. Once exposed it was obvious they were well cared for and were German pressings so Rob bought that set at a real good price.
So I had it in my hands and let it go. But I wanted that box set badly. (I love Roxy Music and their album covers). So I'm checking out ebay and someone is selling the first seven Roxy Music LP's individually. The ad states "pulled from the box, never opened or played." So I put my bids in on esnipe for the LP's (which I won) and send an inquiry, do you still have the box set box? "Why yes, it's yours for $8 if you win the LP's." So here I am with my pristine Roxy Music First Seven LP box set. I paid a bit more than Rob did, over $60 but still under $100. (A recent box set like this sold for $100 on ebay).

Great score. I'm a big fan. Love there music. As well as Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno solo work.
Rick, I have the King and Coltrane on vinyl...both really good albums...especially the coltrane.
Stopped in to the Spin Shack (local joint) and they didn't have much new for vinyl, but I got "VS" and "No Code" from Pearl Jam on cd. Watched the new PJ20 dvd not long ago and now I need to pick up every album they have. I've heard "No Code" was not a good album, however, two straight times through in the car today and I would beg to differ.

first time I've seen this thread, but a perfect place to post that I picked up 41 record albums at the local Salvation Army for 49 cents each! I picked out a wide selection, but there was actually quite a few good albums. The rest of them I have no idea but it is fun to listen to new stuff, especially old stuff on vinyl.
