Sub reccomendation....

I just bought the JBL 3501 amp, got a nice deal on it.
Anyway, I have been looking around and have seen a few subs that catch my eye.
These are the subwoofers I have been having my eye on.

Infinity 1260w
Polk Audio db1212 (The 1240 in a sealed enclosure)
JBL GTO1214D
Polk Audio MM1040D
JVC Arsenal CS-AW6240
Rockford Fosgate P3D410

I want opinions on these subs, who has owned them, have they done well...
Any other recommendations?
I am open for options....budget is $200 for a sub. (Anyone have the cheapest price?)
WHat opinions do we have?

Yo i've seen the mm1240 in a dual sealed box @ my local Fry's electronics.That's what made me want the SR124dvc's!They had it connected to a Kicker 08ZX500.1 made them sound muddy,and MTX JH600 made them sound better,cleaner.They shook the whole sound room which about a 18 foot wide by 25 feet in length.

True. The 1240 however wants 500 watts....my amp can only give it 360 watts...so it would kind of starve the amp...I would rather overpower a tad bit than under power a lot.
It was a thought none the less, but had to pass since my amp cannot provide adequate power.

ok i been youtubeing(if that is a word:D) and the title goes to the rockford p3 1st bccause its the cleanest sounding,JBL GTO1214D 2nd because it has a lot of boomy bass,and last but not least Infinity Reference 1260W is really in between the p3 & gto because it has the best of both almost clean bass but but no boom really on the low end.I didnt count the polk db because i've heard it in person...:(.Its muddy to me but me but maybe not to you.My Two Cent$

Hey thanks. That helps a bit. That just about what my research has told me as well....the Polk DB haven't dug much dirt up on it though....

I did what you did, and listened to the videos on the sub woofers and really did not find out much. I mean, most everyone cameras could not really let me hear anything....

It was interesting though, because I found some videos of Laseraths speakers haha.
I wish I had a way to demo them out you know? But no one in my area had any of these subs, I have asked around they all use JL subs...

I was using my comp speakers....they must take out the low end....I plugged it into my comp, and I heard the bass just fine haha.

What sub are you fitting, as 2-3 cu ft seems a bit on the large size for a single 12" sub?

For a 12? No way, it depends on the subwoofer.

I ended up getting a Polk Sr 10 inch.
