    Default Improvised speaker "stands"

Terrible pics (not enough light), but I hope you get the idea. My corner placement of this TV is far less than ideal, between a window and the fireplace, but it's the only option. I found all the hardware while walking around Home Depot... maybe not beautiful, but definitely functional. :)

From the pics, they really don't look too bad. I don't know what the rest of your decor is but you could continue the motif (go subtle though). And if you need spikes, you could screw in a few nipples.

    Thumbs up

Gas pipe, done that before. Length of pipe, couple of flanges, screw flange through carpet into subfloor & I was in business. When I upgraded to larger surrounds I gave them to my BIL who still uses them.

    LOL, pretty cool!

Now, sand-fill them half-way for an extra credit.

Sand? I used sugar. Now that makes them sound sweet. ;)
