    Default pioneer ice question

Is there any point buying the pioneer elite sc 25 when the pioneer sc 05 can be had for a few hundred bucks less?

None at all, same IceAmps in both models. You may gain an output here and there not much more. If the SC-05 has what you need, go that route and save some coin. Both are very good either way.

Doesn't the SC-05 have a fixed power cord? Might be something to think about.

good AVR I personally have one. It is annoying that you can't upgrade the PC however some people don't always want to do that anyways. There are a few differences but honestly for the amount I saved it was worth it.

If you're a I-phone owner the iPhone feature is a plus On the 25 were the 05 doesn't support it.

but it works anyway. I have used countless Iphones from 2g 3g and 3gs on many 05/07's without any problems. Actually sometimes it doesn't sync and you have to unplug and replug back in , then it works fine.

The 25/27 doesn't have this slight hick up.

The power cord thing is not a big deal. But if your into power cords , then get a 25 or really go for the 35 , it's improved much over the last 2 Ice models.

I think he is but from the people on the AVSforum it sounds the same. If you not worried about 3d pass thru( 1.4a) then don't worry and save yourself some money and get the 25/05.
