    Default HDMI Splitter Advice Needed

just got an Apple TV (the older version now that the price dropped) but have run out of HDMI ports on my Denon.

    Appears it's time to get a splitter (2 - 3 -or 4 out) to 1 in...

what do I need to know?

or even better can someone point me to a reliable model at a reasonable price.

    Thanks in advance,
    Xandra

I and many others here have used the ones from Monoprice with great results - and inexpensive too. I recommend getting one with a remote.

It could be because at the time there were not enough receivers with more than 2-3 hdmi's-in. Now you get receivers with 5-7 hdmi-in and 2 outs.
I think they were filling a need which is now part of the receiver. Of-course this is just my speculation :-)
