Anyone near Rensselaer, Ny??

I am thinking of purchasing a new bicycle for a great price. (to good actually)

The seller of the bike (purchasing from a craigslist ad) is located in rensselaer, Ny and welcomes a local pickup. What I would appreciate is if someone could verify that the bike exists for me and make the transaction. Then just take the bike to a local bike store and have it packaged and shipped to me. (I would send all the funds up front)

Anyway - to start, is anyone around there?

I think you should google russelhoward@gmx,com and see all the different things that are listed for sale and see that the bike is posted in several cities throughout the country along with other items. Why doesn't this person post it in any New York area listings? I even checked for the address he gave me; 150 Ridge Rd. and the only one in Renssalaer County New York is list for sale and contact person was a Danny. Also notice that there is no phone number to contact. Like you said and several people I have talked to, it is too good to be true. If he had that bike for that price it would already be gone. Look how many times it has been posted on Craigslist Orlando.

I found that bike listed two times on craigslist Jacksonville, Fl, once for $2,000.00 and another time for $1,650.00. Listed on 9/13 and 9/14/2010. Found on several more craigslist throughout the US. Scam, scam, Scam.
