    Default XM or Sirius

does anybody have the hard specs on the bit rates for the streams on sat radio? How does is compare to at least redbook. S&V this month talks about programming but nothing on bandwidth/data rates or overall quality.

Here's a previous thread about XM and such, but not any data you are asking for.

I have XM and have enjoyed it much. Never any problems, and sounds great to me, it is digital, so the broadcast is quite clear.

take note that 3G is mentioned as an application and I have heard the Lucent already has mpeg4 integrated. I think ECP21 it should becaome generally available.

The cdma radio link can support 3X that rate.

Streaming vidio from your phone is around the corner.

    Thats worth waiting for IMO.
