    Default Cirque du Soleil

Janey and I just got back home a little while from seeing Alegria. What a cool performance. The Cirque never disappoints. We needed a break from the stress. Nice to forget about all our worries for a few hours. Highly recommend seeing any of these shows if you have the chance. You can check out the trailer at this link.

Just curious as to which other shows you have seen and how this one compared. I've been to 5 different ones (3 in vegas and 2 traveling acts) and want to know how this stacks up to see if dropping 170+ on tickets in January is worth it this time around.

We saw O in Vegas a couple years ago. We've seen Saltimbanco and now, Alegria. Not in the same league as the Vegas shows, but still quite good and worth the money, IMO.

Tickets cost us 100.00 each and another 20.00 for VIP, valet parking. We had 2 of the best seats in the theater. Front row and center stage. It was really cool because 2 of the clowns came down and interacted with us. Any closer, we would have been part of the show. :D

Beatles Love is awesome, when we stayed at the Mirage this year we saw it; and this coming from a lukewarm Beatles fan.

I used to check them out in Quebec in the 80’s, when they were known as Les Échassiers.

I've seen all of their shows, including Zumanity (definitely not for kids) in Vegas.

My favorite one is Saltimbanco. However, I like all of them. My family and I will be going to their Ovo show here in Atlanta next Sunday. The tickets in Atlanta are a tad bit pricey, but this market seems to not mind.

Like the other poster said, the V.I.P. package is awesome. I normally get emails and other communications from them about all of their shows across the globe.

I saw Alegria a month or so ago.. and I've seen Ka a couple times in Vegas, as well as a show a can't remember the name of in Orlando in the 90's.

Ka was better IMO and nothing compares to those older shows in the 90's when they only had 3 or so troupe's, but I was happy I went..

If its $170 total for 2 tickest I think its worth it..

I own this anniversary collection on DVD. 12 discs of almost all the Cirques, except for the Vegas shows. I hope they release those on disc as well. I'd most definitely buy them.

Dralion is available in Superbit , DTS 5.1 and the audio is quite good. This is actually the disc that got my wife and I interested in Cirque du Soleil.

Those Asian contortionists are the best. What I wouldn't do to take one of them for a test drive.

I felt the same way. Then last year my wife wanted to go see Alegria when it was in town. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Would I sit down to watch a DVD of any show? Definitely not. But live in person is an experience worth it now in my opinion. I'm sure it didn't hurt that we had front row seats. I liked it so much I've already bought front row tickets to Dralion in March.

I've always wanted to see it...but they rarely come to Oregon or Washington, and according to their schedule that's not changing any time soon.

Too bad...this seems like it would be one hell of a first date spot.
