Default The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act

has anyone read about this? What do you think?

It looks like this would allow the government to censor the internet.

Right now, it appears to be aimed at youtube, etc. based on the 'support' list. Ofcourse, it probably could be expanded, or worded just vague enough to shut down anything the gubmint wants.

I've been trying to think about what the hell you mean.. I finally think I have it. You're talking about the politics rule, right? Well, this relates to digital media online (copyright infringement of), which means music and movies... this is a forum about audio.... I think it fits (also censoring of internets,,, which we happen to be on :) ).

Because those of us that have been here longer than your measily 6 months knows what happens when people keep trying to go Political, and how many times we've been told to keep it off the forum.

Look at Tony.....he just can't stop himself from letting his big "R" chest patch show everytime something remotely political shows up.

Thanks for your contribution to the forum.

To be fair, I think you are the only one aiming to label this political. So far it has only been civic and legal. But, I do appreciate your concern.

This looks like another thing I can agree with in principle, but be heartily disgusted by its execution.
