    When I plug something into the second set of Outs on my Candela - I lose volume, dynamics and clarity

    Thoughts?

    This sounds like an issue with the power supply not being able to deliver enough current when all outputs are used. This could be a bad design, or just something preventing the unit from getting enough current from the outlet or even the breaker panel.

    That would be my guess but this would be more of an issue with amplifiers. Still possible I think with preamps.

    Sounds familiar, had that happen with two other preamps of mine.

    Decided the only way I'd buy an integrated or pre would be if I heard it personally or had the owner test one output vs both outputs being used.

    Had someone tell me to upgrade to a larger and external power supply, and upgrade some of the caps in said-pre.
