Default Another set of SRT's for sale

Did a quick search and didn't see a thread for these. Up for sale on the bay is another complete set of SRT's. No affiliation but I hope someone on here grabs them. They are most certainly worth the effort required to get them home.

I've never heard SRT's. I've heard SRS and 2B's. Can someone comment on the comparison of the older SDA's to these - just curious.
SDA SRS modded: X’ovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDO’d, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

I was asking if YOU were going to be driving down to texas for these? I'm not in the position to be making that drive otherwise I'd think about it. hope you win em though!

I thought they were in California? Got vacation starting January 1st so I'll fly there and drive back if I can get them at a good price.

I have a pair of 1C's that have been modded in addition to the SRT's. It's difficult to compare them because they are really different animals. I find the 1C's to be a bit more appealing for music listening. Part of that may be that I have the 1C's in a dedicated 2 channel system whereas the SRT's are setup mainly for HT. The SRT's create a huge sonic wall of sound that is limited only by the amps you're running them with. I already have reached the limits of my amps and the speakers are just getting started. The subs on the SRT's pack a deep satisfying punch that is truly breathtaking. The control center gives you significant control over the bass output as well as 2 SDA options (Normal and Wide). No interconnect cable is used.

Thanks. if it's not 'night and day' difference, then I can keep my head down and keep modding. I appreciate your brief contrast of the 1C's and the SRT's. I Was afraid I might be aural lusting after the SRT's. Back to the ring job...

Don't stop lusting. You really need both. Again, it's really impossible to do an apples to apples comparison. Different tweeters, mids, bass radiator vs powered subs, X-over-based SDA vs control center SDA. I'm keeping my eyes open for a pair of the big boys to upgrade the 2-channel system and eventually will know the true answer to your question. For now like you said, Back to the ring job. My 1C's are waiting for the ring job which will likely happen the week after Christmas.

I agree with dpowell after hearing his SRT's they are really great for HT. Music sounded really good on them though we only sampled some concert videos so that might not be a good comparison.

If you can have only 1 choose what you do more; though SRT's do better with music than SDA's in HT.

Didn't you ask me this before? Nope. I'm hiding everything until they are done since I'm getting some higher education assistance. You'll be the first to know it all Dpowell...I promise. They will be the best SRT's on the planet.....well, I'll call them that at least.

Yes I did. I see these references to your planned upgrade floated out on the forum from time to time and keep hoping I'll be able to break the cone of silence. I'll stop bugging you until you are ready to spill.

Would love the hear the SRTs. More likely to visit than own given my space. I was watching the auction as well after the owner posted them here. TFLF saw it and said he would get blasted and away went the thread(he was right)... his member date was like 2007 with a low post count. Nice Harley! A lot for a toy, but that one was done up right for the sale price! I needed both auctions combined on a finance plan.
