I have been a fan of Johnny's for a long time. I have most of his albums. The ones that all ways seem to be in the play list are the ones when he was at Alligator records.
Guitar Slinger, Third Degree & Serious Business.
That could also be because I'm a big fan of the Alligator Label - the artists they record and their recordings. If you like Blues music try one of the compilation Cd's.
Alligator = Genuine House Rockin Music
Blind Pig = Anniversary Editions
Blue Rock-it = Blue Rock-it Sampler & Blue Rock-it Blues Revue - From the studio
These 3 are my favorite blues labels.
(Blue Rock-it has a small list of artists, but I'm a huge Chris Cain and Ford Brothers Fan (especially Robben)
Also, as a side note Blind Pig still makes 180g Audiophile LP's

Love the blues!
Ever listen to Robert Cray, Anson Fundenburg?
I just love JW. Saw him live about 25 year ago. He was the warm up act for another band but he totally blew them away. Fantastic blues man.

yup...i agree..i have guitar sliner since new and it's never left my rotation..i also have 'and live'....what struck me about the song that i heard 'stranger', was that i didn't recognize johnny right away! both his singing and playing were slower, tastier if you will..the playing, still was fast...but you could hear every note...i'll be hunting down some of these bootleg series for sure
Check Sonny Landreth on youtube if you're a fan of Johnny Winter!
No matter how lost you are.......music can bring you home. (there are a few exceptions, however)
