I came across the TEAC CD-P650 single-disc CD player (on J&R's website) by accident. Since this particular model is not listed on US TEAC's own website, I decided to google it. On TEAC's Europe website, I came across the below description....
Hmmm....I know TEAC offer such a feature on its top-of-the-line non-Esoteric components, but on a $230.00 CD player? Onkyo does offer an iPod dock that bypass the iPod's internal DAC, but that dock isn't imported into the US.Additionally an iPod or an iPhone (not scope of the supply) can be docked to the USB interface. This connection makes it possible to process the iPod audio data immediately, digitally, and free of losses with the integrated 1 bit converter.
Btw, some website mentioned the TEAC CD-P650 has Burr-Brown DACs. Of course, unconfirmed.
