    Default RT55 Problem......

I have a pair of RT55's that I am using as my front stage. They sound great, but recently I noticed the left front tweeter was not working. I ordered a pair of new tweeters and still doesn't work on the left front. So i am thinking the crossover might be bad.

1.) How hard are the crosovers to replace?
2.) Does anyone have on lying around that they'd be willing to sell me or know where I can get one?
3.) Considering the tweeter is new, is there anything else it could be but the crossover? (the two woofers work fine)

    Thanks in advance,
    Shawn

    Hello,
Just use a short piece of speaker wire to link the upper and lower binding posts. You can also remove enough of the speaker wire's insulation to allow the signal to connect the upper and lower posts. Anything that gets the signal to both places will be fine.
    Regards, Ken

Thanks Tony and Ken. I am glad it was something that simple. I feel like an a$$ for not looking at that before, but thanks again.

    Take care and Happy Holidays,
    Shawn

That's great. I wish all our problems were that easy to fix.

I had a front tower popping one time when the music would hit hard.
Oh no, an amp. a woofer the dvd player....all went through my head. All it was, was a speaker wire that was loose on the popping speaker. It was just making contact at the terminal so it worked until a loud thump or something. It would lose connection and then re-touch and bam...

    easy fixes sometimes.

Now when my Sunfire system made succesive pops and then a hummmmm, that was the other end of our worry scale. 400.00 repair...:-(

Merry Christmas to you. I'm glad it was simple.
