Marantz SR5004

I am looking at purchasing a Marantz SR5004. I'll be using this to drive some Monitor 70s and a CS2 w/ a PSW505 tacked on. I should be adding some monitor 40s or 50s in the near future.

I am buying a mid-range Samsung LCD tv today too. These all will be hooked together from my current HTPC.

I am wondering if this model Marantz will have enough juice to drive everything at 90W per channel. Also, if this model will work well for sending the video through to the TV.

Well, that solves that question. I am just looking for something that will drive the above speakers well and get by passing video signal to a TV.

I guess the question is will I really hear that much difference between 80 100 125 W per channel at the same listening volumes? I don't want to underpower my speakers if they are just going to sound crappy.

Your speakers are fairly easy to drive, and with a sub, even easier. Find a receiver with all the extras you like,make sure it has preouts to add an amp down the road, and don't fret over a couple watts in a receiver.

Pioneer 1120, Onkyo 708 or 808, Denon 3310 or 3311, HK 3600 are all great receivers that have pre outs but can easily power your speakers. I'd do a little research between them and figure out what you get for the price and what features are important to you.
