What''s the difference between

Hi Guys,
Being a fan of the Klipsch Heritage line could some one please explain the difference between these SDAs that I have been hearing so much about here
(but Never listened to) and maybe for the cash involed the Klipsch Heritage
series.These would be Heresys. Fortes, Cornwalls and Quartets.Keep in mind I do own small range Klipsch 500 set H/T and the clarity is what does impress me.On the other hand I've heard nothing but good things about the SDAs in
their time.If horn loaded is so different maybe it is such just a matter of
taste as speakers are so subjective.

Your question is right up my ally leftwinger!

I used to own the SDA 2A and SDA CRS+ speakers and liked them a lot. Many hours and dollars were poured into them to upgrade them with all the standard Club Polk mods (new crossovers, tweeters, sound deadening, Mortite), and they were great speakers for the money. However, I'm a detail hound and in a direct comparison between the two types of speakers, the vintage Polk's lost out on minute detail and a slight muddy background. The Polk's are also overall more recessed as the Klipsch speakers are forward and can be in your face; which I like.

They are both great speakers, but I settled on the Klipsch Forte horn speakers (three way design with high and mid horns is their best design IMO) because they sound extremely detailed while being direct, as well as very easy to power with their high sensitivity.
