Sub cable length

I recently got some RTi 28's and have it paired with a PSW 450 sub. It sounds good but sometimes the bass seems to be a fraction of a second behind the RTi's. My RTi's speaker cable is a 14 awg 15' long pair. The sub cable is AR 25' long. Is it possible that the difference in length could cause a slight time lag? I was thinking about getting a shorter sub cable if it would possibly help. Any thoughts or is this just another crazy dead end.

It's a dead end. If your pre/pro has a time delay or speaker distance function, then use that to alter the sub.

I don't think it's the cable.Check your delay settings.

I never in my life experieced this......sub being behind or even in front of the mains..........like to see how this rolls out.

I know this may seem to be the obvious, but did you play around with the phase setting switch also? try it 180 from where you are now as well. Your bass should blend in seemlessly with your other speakers. Also is the bass from the sub sounding very directional? Can you pinpoint where the sub is when you close your eyes and listen? Maybe try moving the sub around too after you try all the suggestions Doc / Mantis have and trying the phase switch out.
