Default Would these 2 turntables be considered an upgrade to what I already own?

I own a Audio-Technica LP120 USB turntable and was wondering if either of these 2 tables would be an upgrade or make a noticable differance in sound reproduction?

(I can get either table with 20% off of the listed price.)
Pro-Ject Audio Debut III Turntable with Ortofon OM-5E Cartridge $399.00 (many colours)

Music Hall MMF 2.2LE with Tracker Cartridge $499.00 (white/red/black)

My AT 120 is starting to annoy me as it hums when the arm gets closer to the center of the record. I have aligned everything and have tried two different cartridges. Cables are attached and can not be changed out.
Anyway I am sure I could deal the AT for a few bucks if I did end up going with either of the 2 tables listed.

Most reviews say the Pro-ject is an great entry level table and they say that the Music Hall 2.2 has a better tone arm then the 2.1!

    Thanks.

Both would be a major upgrade.

I don't currently own a TT but QZ is right. If I could get either one of those at the price listed less 20% I'd be all over it...good luck.

I think I will be going with the Music Hall MMF 2.2LE Ferrari Red turntable. Going downtown tomorrow to possibly have a listen to the Rega and the Pro-ject. I do not think I can see or hear the Music hall in my area.

    Thanks for the information.

Take a look at the Rega RP1, I checked out the Project and Music Hall you mentioned and ended up with the RP1.

Another good suggestion by markmarc...the RP1 along with the Debut III and MMF 2.2 are the only 3 turntables that I'm considering, as I'm looking for good performance/reliability/affordability. From what i've researched, you should be in good shape with any of those 3.

Any one of the three would be a huge upgrade...money money being on the Rega.

I would suggest one more, the Project 1.3 Genie http://www.project-audio.com/main.ph...tables&lang=en for information

and this, Needle Dr. site... http://www.needledoctor.com/Brand-Stores/Pro-Ject_2

It is $499, and is supposed to be quite competitive within that price range. If you can see/ listen to this one, it wouldn't hurt.

    Good luck with your purchase,
    Matt
