Wireless Rear Surround

I purchased and installed a F/X Wireless Surround Speaker last night and for the most part I'm impressed. What I'm concerned about is that the speaker shuts itself off when there's down time in between action scenes. This wouldn't be a problem but it makes a noise like, how can I describe it without sounding like the total geek I am, a fazer from Star Trek! It's very annoying. I didn't see anywhere in the setup where I can adjust the "sleep" mode. As it is it sucks to watch normal broadcast TV because it's always turning itself on and off unless I have the volume way up.

Any suggestions?
