Apparently the shed containing the Death Ray of Doom rather ironically burned down. Well, maybe it wasn't ironic but more unfortunate.

The shed was affectionately name "The Shed of Doom!!!11!!LOLZ!!!"

He's working on one that will use 32,000 mirrors.

If he was able to burn carbon though, that's a pretty hot surface temp. Wish he had filmed that one. Would have been neat to see how long it took to get the surface temperatures past 6500 degrees F.
